CDHBC Bulletin: PDC

The Latest News from CDHBC | March 2016

Significant Announcements Coming at PDC

The College of Dental Hygienists of BC invites you to attend the CDHBC Forum at the Pacific Dental Conference (PDC) on Thursday, March 17 from 2:00pm–4:30pm in Ballroom B - VCC East. Please join the College as members from the Board and the Registrar make significant announcements on initiatives related to the practice of dental hygiene in British Columbia. In addition, there will be a review of the results from the recent Registrant Survey. Registrants will have the opportunity to engage with the College on these and other important issues, and may claim forum attendance for CE credit.

Content Categories for PDC Sessions

The College has collaborated with PDC staff to include a coding system within the PDC program to assist with identifying links between your QAP learning goals and the PDC sessions. In the PDC program each dental hygiene-related session has been coded with a ‘Y’ or an ‘NA’. 'Y' indicates that the course aligns with a suggested QAP content category, which can be identified using a QAP legend on the CDHBC and PDC websites. 'NA' indicates that a QAP content category has not been identified for that course; however, it may still be eligible for CE credits. You will need to use your professional discretion to determine if the course marked ‘NA’ is eligible for CE credits in your self-directed learning plan.

Click here for the comprehensive list of PDC sessions and their QAP content category codes.
