Conditional Registration

Conditional registration is for dental hygienists who meet all requirements listed for FULL REGISTRATION, with the exception of:
(a) local anaesthesia

Conditional registration may be granted for a maximum period of two years.
Conditional registrants must not administer local anaesthesia.
Conditional registrants may be eligible for full registration upon providing proof of successful completion of an approved local anaesthesia course.

and/or
(b) continuing competency

Conditional registration applicants are expected to satisfy continuing competency requirements within a reasonable length of time (in the opinion of the Registration Committee).
Conditional registrants may practice dental hygiene only under the supervision of a full registrant and upon any limits or conditions set by the Registration Committee.
Conditional registrants may be eligible for full registration upon completion of continuing competency requirements.
