Complaints & Compliments

A complaint against a registrant of the college may be delivered to the registrar in writing. The complaint may be from a member of the public, a hygienist, or a dentist or
other employer, regarding the actions of a registered
dental hygienist.

If you wish to register a complaint about a dental hygienist, you can do so by sending feedback to the college through our feedback page or by mail at:

College of Dental Hygienists
645 Fort St., Room 219
Victoria B.C., V8W 1G2
The Complaints Process

A written complaint against a registrant of the college will be forwarded to the inquiry committee by the registrar with the registrar's assessment of the complaint and any recommendations for the outcome of the complaint. The registrar will also notify the respondent (the registrant) and will acknowledge the complainant. The inquiry committee must notify a registrant who is the subject of an investigation, and any complainant, of the outcome of the investigation and any action taken. Investigations will be conducted in accordance with section 34 through 35 of the Health Professions Act. See section 55 of the College bylaws for more information.
